Update – January 18, 2012

On behalf of the Board of Directors of HII Technologies, Inc., we are pleased to report that the Company has received its symbol, which is now “HIIT.OB” or (OTBB: HIIT).

Pennaluna & Co., a firm established in 1926, is the market maker who filed a Form 211 with FINRA on behalf of HII Technologies in order to pursue the listing. As available on www.SEC.gov, (the SEC’s Edgar site) the Company filed a Form 10 in September 2011 which went effective with the SEC in November 2011. On November 14, 2011, HII Technologies also filed a Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the third quarter end of operations. As these reports

illustrate, the Company has sold its Hemiwedge valve product line to a private buyer and is currently a development-stage energy services company focused in some new growth areas.

Using part of the proceeds of the May 2011 sale of the Hemiwedge assets, the Company today is debt free, has an estimated $25 million NOL (tax loss carry-forward), paid the necessary professional fees to catch up two years of financial audits and SEC reports, and currently is pursuing a plan in energy services based on management’s relationships in this market.

As a stockholder in Shumate or Hemiwedge Industries, Inc., if you want to exchange your shares for the new name of HII Technologies, Inc. you are welcome to call our transfer agent whose contact information is listed to the left-hand site of this site. However, our name change to HII does not require you to ‘fix‘ your shares. If your broker doesn’t want to deposit the shares you own we would encourage you to call Pennaluna and Co. (Mike Crabb) as they are the primary market marker today and are familiar with our stock.

As a debt free Company, our primary focus is to build liquidity in our common stock HIIT” and build stockholder value. As always, you can reach me at my direct line at 713-821-3157.

Sincerely,

Matt Flemming
HII Technologies, Inc.
